Senior Fiction/Creative Non-Fiction Editor
What I envision when I think of Elan is a place where artist can be truly vulnerable and open with themselves. The impact I got just from reading past Elan editions gave me hope in my own writing (inspiration for improvement if I’m honest) and hope that someday the world will listen too. Becoming an international literary magazine means more to the artists presented in the book than it will to anyone else just flipping through it. But if the Elan can give inspiration, hope, or even passion to any one of those readers than we’d know our work was completed. Everyone on the staff shares a dedication to making art important again. Art isn’t dead, writing and visual arts thrives each day, especially with organization like Elan.
