Fiction is probably my favorite genre to read because there is so much room for interpretation. Novels offer a level of complexity that differs from other, short genres because it can build over a slower span of time. For instance, The Road, is a simple narrative however, it also adds a layer of biblical allusion that adds depth to the story.

Outside of this magazine, writing plays a role in my life almost as much as sleep. Just like I know I need to get at least five hours of sleep at night, I know I need to focus on writing daily to function. Every free chance I get, I try to engage my creativity. Whether it be creating new work or reading poets who inspire me, I try to take my free time and expand creatively.
