Poetry is my favorite genre of writing. Whereas with fiction, I read it to escape reality. I read poetry to reconnect with it. The specificity and the humanity tucked in-between each line and stanza reminds me that I’m not alone – nobody is; we are all in this fascinating world together.

In all honesty, I don’t have any legitimate hobbies outside of writing. I enjoy playing older video games like The Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy, because these games were actually some of my first introductions to storytelling, and it’s always fun to revisit those first moments of interest and inspiration. I also enjoy hanging out with my cats and accidentally taking three-hour naps. Oops.
